By Car

As an alternate coastal route from San Jose, take the 27 toll road towards Orotina. Take a right following the signs to Jaco after the toll booth in Pozon. Before you get to Jaco stop at the “crocodile bridge” to watch the dozens of crocodiles sunbathing on the banks of the Tarcoles River.

Stay on this coastal road passing Quepos and Dominical. Hotel Villas Gaia is 35 kilometers south of Dominical. The entrance of the hotel is 1.5 kilometers South of Ventanas Beach and 500 meters north of the entrance of Tortuga Beach. This trip will take about 3-4 hours.
 

By car, it is a pleasant 4 hr. trip through what is considered the scenic mountains of the Cerro de La Muerte, driving through cloudforest at a maximum altitude of 3400 meters or 11000 feet.
From San Jose, take the Pan American Highway South towards Cartago, following sign to San Isidro and to Dominical. The first spectacular view of the Pacific occurs in Dominical on the "Costanera", the new coastal road. Villas Gaia is 35 kilometers (22 miles) south of Dominical. The entrance of the hotel is 1.5 kilometers South of Ventanas Beach and 500 meters north of the entrance of Tortuga Beach.
 

Public Bus

Tracopa bus company (tracopacr.com) offers direct connections between San Jose and Uvita (12 kilometers north of the hotel). This will take 3.5 hours. From Uvita take a taxi to Villas Gaia.

Tracopa or MUSOC buses drive from San José to San Isidro (3 hours). In San Isidro you have to take another bus which is on the right hand side of the Musoc – Tracopa, just cross the street: Transporte Blanco with destination Dominical and Puerto Jiménez. Take the bus which leaves around 3.45 PM with destination Dominical – Coronado.
This bus passes the hotel! Just ask the driver to stop at the entrance. Shuttle service

By Plane

BY air, 2 daily commuter flight companies fly from San Jose to Palmar Sur or Quepos and back via SANSA (www.flysansa.com) leaving from Juan Santamaria international airport.

NATURE-AIR (www.natureair.com) leaves from Pavas national airport.

Taxi service from the airport of Palmar Sur to the hotel is US$ 25 (20 minutes’ drive).
Taxi service from Quepos is US$ 75(55 minutes drive).
